Director of Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Marketing based in the United States.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the overall marketing, branding, and communications strategy for a well-established professional services organization within the AEC sector. The position plays a key role in strengthening market presence, supporting business development, and driving firmwide growth through integrated marketing initiatives. It requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, overseeing everything from brand positioning and digital marketing to proposals and pursuit support. The role also partners closely with senior leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives and talent acquisition goals. Operating in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, the position influences both external perception and internal engagement. This is a high-impact opportunity for a marketing leader who can connect strategy, storytelling, and execution to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive firmwide marketing and branding strategy aligned with business development and growth objectives.
  • Lead marketing, communications, and brand positioning initiatives within the AEC and commercial services space.
  • Oversee the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and pursuit-related marketing support.
  • Manage and optimize digital marketing channels including website content, social media, email campaigns, and online presence.
  • Collaborate with leadership and business development teams to increase visibility, support client acquisition, and strengthen market positioning.
  • Maintain and improve marketing systems, databases, and workflows to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Support internal communications and employer branding initiatives to enhance recruitment and employee engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) or commercial real estate industry.
  • Strong background in proposal development, pursuit management, and business development support.
  • Proven experience in brand management and integrated marketing strategy execution.
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, WordPress, and CRM/database systems preferred.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional environment.
