EHS Client Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an EHS Client Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives across a dynamic and evolving operational segment.
You will own the implementation and management of EHS programs while partnering closely with field and operational leadership.
The position combines strategic guidance with hands-on activities such as audits, investigations, risk assessments, and site inspections.
You will influence safety culture, strengthen compliance, and help reduce workplace hazards across multiple locations.
Success requires a collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to engage stakeholders at every level.
With significant travel and broad operational exposure, this is a high-impact role for an experienced EHS professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities
  • Provide expert EHS guidance and consultation to stakeholders on hazard controls, safety training, regulatory compliance, and applicable client or organizational standards.
  • Own the implementation and management of EHS programs across the assigned segment, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and safety expectations.
  • Conduct incident and injury investigations, risk assessments, audits, walkthroughs, and workplace inspections to identify risks and compliance gaps.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans based on investigations, assessments, audits, and inspections to drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage, motivate, and influence leaders and employees at all levels to strengthen safety culture, reduce incidents, and improve compliance.
  • Partner with operational teams to implement safety enhancements that reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and compliance assurance programs, ensuring sites remain inspection-ready and meet applicable regulatory, client, and organizational requirements.
  • Coach and mentor field management teams on EHS practices, encouraging accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support timely reporting of EHS matters to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies when required.
  • Identify industry and operational best practices and incorporate them into segment-specific EHS strategies and plans.
  • Analyze EHS metrics and trends, communicate findings, and implement action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Provide real-time EHS support during emergency situations and other critical events.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety role.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated expertise in EHS principles, compliance requirements, risk management, and workplace safety practices.
  • Proven ability to integrate EHS strategies into broader business and operational processes.
  • Ability to understand business and operational objectives and translate them into practical, integrated EHS solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences and situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with a positive and collaborative leadership approach.
  • Ability to build relationships, foster constructive dialogue, gain stakeholder alignment, and effectively navigate differing perspectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple stakeholder needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred EHS professional certification and/or a bachelor’s degree.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
