Account Executive

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Executive based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to accelerate new business growth across North America.
You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through tailored product demonstrations and deal closure.
The role focuses on expanding the customer base within the student housing and higher education market.
You will build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and position innovative software solutions around their operational needs.
Success will be measured through revenue performance, pipeline development, accurate forecasting, and strong customer transitions.
You will work closely with sales development, marketing, product, and customer success teams in a collaborative environment.
The role offers meaningful autonomy, strong growth potential, and the opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy in a global software business.

Accountabilities
  • Own the complete new business sales cycle within an assigned territory, from prospecting and lead generation through product demonstrations, negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities within the student property management and higher education markets.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and establish credibility as a trusted technology partner.
  • Meet and exceed new business revenue targets while maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and reliable forecasting data.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to prospective customers' business requirements and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to maximize engagement and ensure smooth customer handoffs after closing.
  • Share market and customer insights with internal stakeholders to strengthen go-to-market strategies and continuously improve sales processes.
  • Manage multiple opportunities and priorities effectively while maintaining a consistent focus on customer needs, sales performance, and territory growth.
  • Travel approximately 20% of the time, depending on business needs, customer engagements, and industry events.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in higher education student housing or 2+ years of B2B SaaS new business sales experience serving higher education clients.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple sales opportunities, priorities, deadlines, and targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to broader team objectives.
  • Experience with student housing or property management software platforms is preferred.
  • Previous SaaS sales experience or knowledge of software licensing and pricing is an advantage.
  • Experience delivering software product demonstrations and translating customer needs into relevant solutions.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM for managing opportunities, activities, pipeline, and forecasting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a consultative approach to new business development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt quickly to changing business priorities.
