Operations Manager – DFW Widebody
Operations Location: Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
Schedule: 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Employment: Full-Time
Position Summary: FoxTrot Aviation Services is seeking an Operations Manager to provide dedicated operational leadership for our growing international widebody operation at DFW. The Operations Manager will own the daily preparation and execution of assigned widebody cabin cleaning and security-search programs, ensuring each operation is appropriately staffed, trained, equipped, compliant, and prepared prior to aircraft arrival. This position serves as the primary daytime operational leader and is responsible for ensuring a clean transition from daily planning into evening aircraft operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily operational readiness for assigned DFW widebody contracts.
- Review flight schedules, aircraft assignments, staffing requirements, and operational changes prior to each shift.
- Build and validate daily staffing plans and ensure adequate trained and badged coverage, including contingency staffing.
- Ensure teams, Leads, equipment, supplies, and required documentation are staged prior to aircraft arrival.
- Directly supervise and hold Supervisors, Leads, and frontline employees accountable for operational performance.
- Coordinate with airline station leadership, airport partners, and internal FoxTrot leadership regarding schedule changes, delays, staffing, and operational requirements.
- Oversee cabin cleaning and pre-departure security-search execution in accordance with airline, TSA, airport, and FoxTrot requirements.
- Ensure required security-search certifications, training records, and operational documentation are accurately completed and maintained.
- Monitor labor utilization against contract requirements and proactively address overtime, staffing gaps, and operational inefficiencies.
- Conduct quality and compliance audits and ensure deficiencies are corrected immediately.
- Manage employee attendance, performance, coaching, corrective action, and shift-level accountability.
- Lead the operational handoff to evening/night leadership and ensure unresolved issues have a clear owner and action plan.
- Escalate material safety, compliance, staffing, customer, or operational risks to regional leadership.
Performance Expectations: Success in this role means aircraft operations are staffed, staged, compliant, and ready before arrival; frontline leaders independently execute their responsibilities; labor remains controlled; documentation is complete; and customer or operational issues are identified and addressed before they become service failures.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- 3+ years of operations, aviation, ground handling, logistics, transportation, hospitality, or similarly fast-paced operational leadership experience preferred.
- Previous experience directly managing frontline teams and supervisors.
- Strong workforce planning, scheduling, and labor-management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive operations with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable enforcing performance standards and documenting accountability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required DFW airport/SIDA credentials.
- Ability to work onsite at DFW from 1:30 PM–9:30 PM, including operational flexibility as required.
Preferred Experience
- Airline cabin services, ground handling, aircraft appearance, international airline operations, or widebody aircraft experience.
- TSA-regulated or security-sensitive operational experience.
- Experience managing airline customer relationships and service-level requirements.
- Experience launching or scaling new operational programs.
