Candidates selected for the position who still need the required school-security training will be provided the 24-hour School Security Guard Training through Precision Private Security's in-house training facility at no cost to the selected candidate.

An active California BSIS Guard Card is required prior to deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

Campus Security Officers help maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and authorized personnel.

Responsibilities may include:
•Conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols.
•Monitoring buildings, parking areas, walkways, gates, and campus grounds.
•Maintaining a visible and professional security presence.
•Assisting students, staff, faculty, and visitors with safety and security concerns.
•Monitoring for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, vandalism, safety hazards, and policy violations.
•Conducting building, door, gate, and perimeter security checks.
•Assisting with opening, closing, locking, and unlocking procedures as assigned.
•Responding to disturbances, medical situations, emergencies, and other security-related incidents.
•Using professional communication and de-escalation techniques.
•Contacting supervisors, campus personnel, law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical services when appropriate.
•Completing accurate Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and other required documentation.
•Reporting maintenance issues, property damage, lighting concerns, and other safety hazards.
•Following company policies, campus procedures, post orders, and supervisor direction.
•Maintaining a professional uniform, appearance, and demeanor while on duty.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
•Be at least 18 years of age.
•Possess an active California BSIS Guard Card prior to deployment.
•Be dependable, punctual, and professional.
•Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Be able to prepare clear and accurate reports.
•Be comfortable working with students, staff, faculty, visitors, and members of the public.
•Be able to work independently and follow written post orders and procedures.
•Be able to use a mobile device and electronic reporting applications.
•Be capable of remaining calm and professional during stressful or unexpected situations.
•Successfully complete applicable screening, onboarding, training, and assignment requirements.

A valid California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. Applicants must be eligible to operate a company vehicle in accordance with Precision Private Security’s driving and insurance requirements.

Experience:

Previous security or campus experience is helpful, but not required for every qualified applicant.

Schedule
Campus security coverage may include:
•Day shifts
•Evening shifts
•Weekends
•Holidays
•Special events
•Additional coverage based on operational needs.
