Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery PACU in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

The Outpatient Surgery PACU oversees patient monitoring, evaluation and care interventions of the pre and post surgical patients in a one day surgery center.

A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree
• One (1) year Post Anesthetic Care or Critical Care experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree

*Bachelor’s degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred:

• Certification in a specialty area.

Critical Care Nursing

• PALS required within six months
• ACLS required within six months
