Shuttle Bus Driver at Brightkey, Inc – Washington DC, Dist. Columbia

BrightKey is seeking a reliable and professional Shuttle Bus Driver to join our team. The Shuttle Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting employees to and from various company locations within the metro area in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. While not driving, this role will help out with mail clerk duties such as sorting and screening mail. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Information:

• Hourly pay rate is $19.93 per hour plus $4.93 per hour health & welfare

• Washington, DC
• Monday through Friday: 7:00 am-3:30pm

Shuttle Bus Driver Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 20-person shuttle bus to transport employees to designated locations within the metro area.
• Follow scheduled routes and timetables while being flexible to adjust to traffic conditions and passenger needs.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers by adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle bus, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.
• Approximately 25% of the day will not involve driving. During this time, you will be assisting our team with mail sorting and screening, helping in the warehouse, and/or shipping/receiving,
• Comply with all company policies, local regulations, and safety procedures.

Required Experience for the Shuttle Bus Driver

• Clean driving record with no recent traffic violations or accidents.
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Previous experience as a bus or shuttle driver or similar sized vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of the local metro area, traffic patterns, and routes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Candidates must be punctual and dependable and organized.
• Previous mail room experience is a plus and as is previous experience with mail and automated systems.
• Must be able to lift 50-70lbs.
• Offer will be contingent upon the ability to successfully complete a background investigation and drug screening.
