The City of Vacaville is accepting applications for Housing and Community Services Technician I/II. This role combines meaningful work with the opportunity to make a difference in your community. You'll help connect low-income families to housing assistance programs, guide applicants through the process and foster positive relationships with tenants, landlords, and property managers. From performing Housing Quality Standards inspections to coordinating engaging community events like wellness fairs, no two days are the same. Current Salary and Benefits Information:
Housing and Community Services Technician I - $57,283 - $69,628
Housing and Community Services Technician II - $63,029 - $76,613

Housing and Community Services Technician II

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities is:

Housing and Community Services Technician I

Education: Completion of the twelfth grade or equivalent.

Experience: Three years of experience in general clerical work required. Experience in Housing Authority or Social/Human Services Agency preferred. Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable.

Housing and Community Services Technician II

Education: Completion of the twelfth grade or equivalent is required. Two years of college level course work including social sciences, mathematics, business administration and/or related courses of study is desirable.

Completion of courses in Housing Quality Standards, Occupancy Standards and Eligibility Standards are required. These training courses are typically offered by Housing Industry professionals, associations and consultants.

Completion of a course in Family Self-Sufficiency is desirable.

Experience: Two years of housing program eligibility determination experience equivalent to that of Housing and Community Services Technician I.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment.
