About This Position
SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department Director and Supervisor, supports coding operations through medical record audits and integrity assessments, report development, denial claims reviews and other clerical tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years' HIM experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret medical procedures and terminology. Ability to research and analyze data. Ability to develop reports and related documents. Proficient in technology and computer use. Excellent customer service skills. Problem solving skills. Adaptability and flexibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality. Interpersonal skills.
LICENSE/CERT: Preferred: CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
