Radiology Technologist at Conway Medical Center – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Position Summary: The Radiologic Technologist-PNS (RT) will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment, making radiographs of designated portions of the body. The RT will be responsible for operating and adjusting x-ray equipment for proper radiographic exposure while utilizing best practice techniques and explaining x-ray procedures to patients. The RT will also position patients for each anatomical view and monitor accessory equipment. The RT will accurately process images for optimal quality, match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation, and demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation. The RT functions as part of the medical office team and is willing to step in and complete any front and back-office assignments within the scope of education/certification/training. Qualifications Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required.

Experience:

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) required.
• Certification with the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
