About This Position

Responsible for accurately receiving, recording, and posting all incoming payments—including cash, checks, credit cards, and EFTs—to the appropriate patient accounts and insurance plans. This role involves retrieving EOBs from various insurance portals, uploading payment data, and scanning and indexing backup documentation for received checks and credit card payments.

Key duties include researching and resolving payment discrepancies, ensuring payment accuracy, and maintaining organized records. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and reconcile issues as they arise. Regularly collaborates with billing staff to provide support and address payment-related inquiries.

Must be comfortable working on a computer and have proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word), as well as the ability to learn and navigate other healthcare and payment systems.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies in payment postings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills—regular interaction with billing and revenue cycle teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve posting or payment issues.
  • Salary starting at $18.00 per hour
