Floor Technician at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center – Chanute, Kansas

Perform the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives. Will use cleaning devices including 20-inch rotos, automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, wringers and other necessary equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies to perform duties. Will participate in continuing education program and attend inservices on safety as well as any other pertinent subject. Follows all safety guidelines in accordance with any state-mandated rules and regulations. The Infection Prevention Technician will adhere to appropriate precautions and techniques in each department regarding hazardous chemicals, blood and body fluids, medical waste and/or equipment.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned. May be expected to work varying hours, holidays, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred.

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:

• None

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous cleaning/infection prevention experience preferred.
