The HR Systems & Benefits Specialist II provides day-to-day coordination of activities related to employee benefits and leaves, compensation, and pay administration. The HR Systems & Benefits Specialist II will also provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefits and HRIS administration. The HR Systems & Benefits Specialist II will work as part of the human resources team, to ensure and provide exceptional and timely customer service to employees and outside customers, as well as take on additional HR duties as assigned. The HR Systems & Benefits Specialist II will act as HR liaison to Payroll to ensure timely data and documentation flow. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)Manage employee-facing piece of the open enrollment process and provide benefits information at new employee orientationAid employees with benefits-related issues; interact with benefits carriers to ensure proper data and status records are being updated (This includes healthcare vendors for bargaining and non-bargaining unit employees, ADP, COBRA, and Company's healthcare broker)Strategic involvement with benefit plan design and benefit offeringsServe as the primary contact for the calculation of Defined Benefit estimates and other Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution projects as neededTrack timing for commencement of terminated vested pension plan participantsProvide retirement election paperwork to active and terminated pension plan participantsCoordinate leave of absences including: FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Parental Leave and Long-Term Disability by maintaining records for leaves, ensure proper documentation is sent and received, assist managers with timecard editing, and reaching out to the Plant Administrator and employees when applicableUpdates Payroll on a timely basis as to disability claim status & ensures the timely flow of information for payroll processingHandle life insurance claim administrationDevelop, update, and maintain employee benefits materials for employeesResponsible for compliance activities, such as participating in pension and benefits audits, and sending out Annual Funding NoticesAdminister employee wellness activities, including the coordination for annual flu clinics, biometric screenings, and other events as neededAssist with salary surveys and market pricingAssist with annual compensation processesSupport merit/increase processesConduct basic internal pay analysisAssist with job documentation and job evaluationResearch market data under the direction of the compensation leadSupport compensation communicationsHelp with headcount and labor-cost reportingProcess all transfers, changes, terminations, and annual negotiated contract changes in HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) in an appropriate and timely mannerProcess benefits enrollments and changes in HRIS and supports the HR team in areas of data maintenance, data integrity, reporting, and analyticsActs as HR liaison with Payroll to provide data and system support within the HRIS and Payroll system and to ensure accuracy and consistencyCoordinates status changes & documentation for terminations/pay/positions with Payroll on a weekly basisAs directed, produce, maintain and support accurate and timely reports or queries and correspondence using HRISResponsible for the completion of monthly headcount reports and other associated reports related to IT access for new hires and terminated employeesAssist and offer insight on system and process upgrades/improvementFind more efficient ways to process employee actionsResponsible for maintenance of ADP homepage to ensure proper benefits information is available to employeesResponsible for monthly headcount reportingWill be a point of contact to handle employee complaints and personnel problemsWill provide clarification on Company policies and proceduresWill participate in global benefits and HRIS projects

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required0-2 years of experience supporting compensation activities, such as salary surveys, market analysis, compensation reporting, merit processes, or job evaluation is required3-5 years of experience administering employee benefit programs, including health and welfare benefits, leave programs, retirement/pension plans is required3-5 years of experience with HRIS systems, including employee data administration, reporting, data integrity, and analytics is required3-5 years of experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and data reconciliation is requiredExperience supporting compensation activities, such as salary surveys, market analysis, compensation reporting, merit processes, or job evaluation is preferredExperience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS/payroll system is preferredExperience working with high volumes of confidential information is preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills. Team orientation with high degree of collaborative skills.
