Forward Deployed Engineer - Experienced

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer - Experienced based in United States.

This is a highly technical, client-facing engineering role focused on solving mission-critical business challenges through data and AI.
You’ll work directly with client teams to understand workflows, uncover complex problems, and design practical technical solutions.
The role combines software engineering, data engineering, solution delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll deploy and customize Palantir Foundry and AIP solutions using technologies such as Python and TypeScript.
Your work will help organizations turn complex enterprise data into actionable insights and improved operational outcomes.
You’ll join a collaborative, fast-moving environment where adaptability, creativity, and continuous learning are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Client engagement: Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, conduct interviews, facilitate workshops, understand operational workflows, and present clear solution recommendations.
  • Solution development: Deploy, configure, and customize Palantir Foundry and AIP solutions using Python and TypeScript to address complex business and operational requirements.
  • Technical problem solving: Investigate business and technical challenges at their root, work with complex enterprise data, and develop creative solutions that deliver measurable real-world outcomes.
  • Data engineering: Design and support data pipelines, workflows, and tools that enable clients to make better use of their organizational data.
  • Training and enablement: Train end users on implemented solutions and create clear documentation that supports adoption, usability, and long-term client success.
  • Project delivery: Contribute to project planning, timelines, deliverables, prioritization, and internal coordination to ensure successful implementation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal and client teams in a fast-paced environment, adapting solutions and communication styles to different stakeholders and requirements.
  • Continuous improvement: Bring curiosity and creativity to each engagement, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, technology adoption, and operational performance.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: Demonstrated, recent hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP in real-world production or client environments.
  • Education: Post-secondary or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Engineering skills: Strong understanding of data engineering principles and proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Data expertise: Experience working with complex enterprise data and data manipulation tools such as Pandas or Polars, and/or distributed computing frameworks such as Spark.
  • Client-facing ability: Comfortable working directly with clients both remotely and onsite, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem solving: Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and deliver solutions in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different client preferences, technical backgrounds, and business needs.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable taking ownership in ambiguous situations, learning continuously, and adjusting priorities as project requirements evolve.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams while bringing creativity, humility, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Travel and work authorization: Able to travel within Canada and the United States approximately 5% of the time without requiring visas or other documents that involve processing delays.
  • Preferred experience: Production experience delivering machine learning and/or LLM-based solutions, or building production frontend applications with React, is advantageous but not mandatory.
