Evergen is transforming regenerative medicine through innovation, digital technologies, and operational excellence. As part of our enterprise AI strategy, we are investing in Agentic AI, Intelligent Automation, Data Modernization, and Enterprise Knowledge Systems to accelerate decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new business value.
We are building the next generation of enterprise AI capabilities, moving beyond chatbots and copilots toward AI agents that can reason, retrieve information, orchestrate workflows, and execute tasks across business systems.
Evergen is seeking a highly motivated Senior Agentic AI Engineer to help design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions.
This is a hands-on builder role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex challenges, and can independently move from idea to production deployment.
This is not a data science or ML research role. You will not be training models, building predictive analytics, or running experiments. You will be architecting and shipping agents.
The ideal candidate combines the technical depth of an engineer, the problem-solving skills of a consultant, and the curiosity of an innovator. You should be equally comfortable facilitating a business workshop, designing solution architecture, writing Python code, integrating APIs, and deploying AI agents into production environments.
In this role, you will help develop:
- Agentic AI solutions that can reason, plan, collaborate, and execute complex business processes with appropriate human oversight.
- Enterprise knowledge agents that surface SOPs, policies, quality records, regulatory guidance, and institutional knowledge to improve decision-making and reduce time spent searching for information.
- AI-powered workflow assistants that automate and orchestrate end-to-end business processes across Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT.
- Agentic document workflows: LLM extraction, structured validation, exception routing, and human sign-off.
- Copilots, AI assistants, and enterprise AI applications integrated into daily workflows to improve productivity, knowledge sharing, and user experience.
- Agents that query Snowflake, NetSuite, and SharePoint as tools to complete tasks.
- Multi-agent systems that coordinate activities across business functions, enterprise applications, and data sources to solve complex operational challenges.
- Secure, scalable AI platforms and reusable frameworks that accelerate the development, governance, and deployment of AI solutions across the enterprise.
- Build agents that call tools via function calling and MCP servers to act on enterprise systems (Snowflake, NetSuite, M365, SharePoint, CRM).
- Design orchestration using an agent SDK (Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, Semantic Kernel Agent Framework, or LangGraph).
- Implement RAG pipelines over SharePoint, SOPs, and quality records, including chunking, retrieval evaluation, and citation.
- Implement tracing, evals, and guardrails so agents are observable, testable, and safe in production (Azure AI Foundry, LangSmith, or equivalent).
- Build AI-powered applications and intelligent assistants.
- Develop scalable Python-based services and integrations.
- Create reusable AI frameworks, templates, and accelerators.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Contribute to enterprise AI architecture standards.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value use cases.
- Participate in AI discovery workshops and solution ideation sessions.
- Translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
- Support enterprise AI adoption and literacy initiatives.
- Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, intelligent automation, AI, consulting, or solution architecture.
- Experience designing and delivering production-ready technical solutions.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Experience engaging directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- API development and integration experience.
- Experience with Git and DevOps practices.
- Strong systems thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Shipped at least one production agent using tool/function calling.
- Built an eval harness for agent behavior.
- Worked with an agent SDK or orchestration framework.
- Self-starter who thrives with minimal direction.
- Builder mindset with a bias for action.
- Curious and continuously learning.
- Strong communicator capable of translating technical concepts to business audiences.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- MCP server development.
- Agent tracing and evaluation tooling.
- Agent frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, or LangChain.
- Knowledge graphs.
- Vector databases and enterprise search technologies.
- Experience deploying AI in regulated or validated environments (GxP, SOX, HIPAA).
- Consulting or digital transformation experience.
- Deliver multiple AI and automation solutions into production.
- Build reusable frameworks and accelerators for the AI program.
- Partner with business functions to identify and implement high-value use cases.
- Help expand AI adoption across multiple departments.
- Create measurable operational efficiencies through automation and AI.
- Become a trusted technical leader within Evergen's growing AI and Automation Center of Excellence.
