Job Description

Software Engineer II - Dev Accelerator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer II - Dev Accelerator based in the United States.

This role sits on an internal developer platform team responsible for helping more than 100 engineers build, test, and ship software quickly and safely.
You’ll develop high-leverage tooling and infrastructure that improves engineering productivity across the organization.
Your work will span CLI tooling, CI/CD, shared libraries, testing infrastructure, and developer workflows.
You’ll work with technologies including Python, Go, Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, and modern CI systems.
A key focus will be making development workflows increasingly AI-native and useful for both engineers and AI agents.
You’ll own meaningful, multi-quarter initiatives while collaborating closely with Infrastructure, SRE, Security, and product engineering teams.
This is an opportunity to shape the foundations that make the right engineering path the easiest path.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and operate internal developer platforms that support software development across the organization.
  • Own high-impact projects spanning CLI tooling, CI/CD optimization, shared libraries, test infrastructure, and developer productivity systems.
  • Build tools and workflows that make engineering processes faster, more reliable, intuitive, and scalable.
  • Work across Python, Go, Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI systems to strengthen the organization’s developer platform and engineering “Golden Path.”
  • Design AI-native abstractions and workflows that can be effectively used by both human engineers and AI agents.
  • Explore and implement LLM-powered capabilities such as failure summarization, intelligent code generation, and AI-enabled developer tooling.
  • Take ownership of multi-quarter initiatives from discovery and design through implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, Security, and other partner teams to identify opportunities and deliver effective platform solutions.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable engineering role.
  • Strong ability to use AI-powered development tools to accelerate discovery, design, implementation, testing, and rollout of software systems.
  • Demonstrated interest in applying LLMs and AI technologies to improve developer workflows and engineering productivity.
  • Experience or strong interest in modern developer platforms, internal tooling, automation, CI/CD, or software infrastructure.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical domains and collaborate with multiple engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, engineering judgment, and an ownership-oriented approach to delivering reliable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Python, Go, Bazel, AWS, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
  • Experience building or maintaining CLI tools, scaffolding systems, internal frameworks, or reusable developer tooling is preferred.
  • Experience with test data management, integration or end-to-end testing infrastructure, test-quality tooling, or reusable workflows is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with CLI development, YAML/Jinja2-style templating, modern Python typing, dataclasses or Pydantic-style patterns, pytest/Ginkgo or similar testing frameworks, gRPC/HTTP services, and shared libraries is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Base salary range of $149,200–$214,500 USD, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
  • Eligibility for equity compensation and an annual bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits supporting health, finances, and overall well-being.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Employee resource groups supporting community, inclusion, and connection.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Growth and Development Fund to support ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Parental leave.
  • Remote work environment, with location eligibility varying by role and country.
  • Opportunities to work on innovative developer infrastructure and AI-native engineering initiatives at significant organizational scale.
