Job Description

About Company: The Warrior Hotel and InnKeeper Hospitality Services are sister companies built on a single idea: great buildings deserve a second life, and the neighborhoods around them deserve the benefit. Restoration St. Louis brings historic properties back — vacant landmarks reborn as hotels, apartments, and gathering places. InnKeeper Hospitality Services runs the hotels that come out of that work, including Marriott Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio properties across Missouri, Iowa, and Florida.

Working here is different from working at a chain. Our teams are small and our layers are few, so what you do shows up in a guest's day and in the building itself. Front desk agents set the tone of a landmark. Engineers care for craftsmanship a century old. Managers make real decisions instead of routing them to a corporate office three states away.

We hire people who take pride in the details and want to be trusted with them. If that's you, there's a place for you here.

About the Role:

The Banquet/Catering Bartender at Warrior Hotel plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional beverage service during events and banquets, ensuring guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. This position requires the preparation and serving of a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service. The bartender will collaborate closely with the catering and banquet teams to coordinate timely service and accommodate special requests, contributing to the seamless execution of events. Attention to detail, adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential to success in this role. Ultimately, the Banquet/Catering Bartender helps enhance the overall guest experience, supporting the hotel’s reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.
  • Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a banquet or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of standard drink recipes and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Experience working in a hotel or large event venue setting.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Multilingual abilities to better serve diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during banquets, weddings, corporate events, and other catered functions.
  • Set up and break down bar stations, ensuring all supplies and equipment are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding promptly to requests and providing recommendations when appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol service laws and hotel policies, including checking identification and monitoring guest consumption.
  • Collaborate with catering and banquet staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of beverages during events.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly when applicable.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management to avoid shortages during events.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas throughout the event and at closing.

Skills:

The required skills enable the bartender to efficiently prepare and serve beverages while maintaining excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and coordinating with event staff to meet service timelines and special requests. Knowledge of beverage recipes and responsible alcohol service ensures safety and compliance with regulations. Preferred skills such as POS system proficiency and multilingual abilities enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction, especially in a diverse event environment. Together, these skills allow the bartender to contribute positively to the overall success of events and uphold the high standards of the Warrior Hotel.
