Take on a seasonal leadership role supporting tax professionals during the 2026–2027 tax season. As a Seasonal Tax Lead, you will guide remote teams, provide accurate tax guidance, and help ensure high-quality customer service throughout the tax preparation process. You will coach team members, monitor customer interactions, and resolve operational issues and escalations in a timely, professional manner. Working remotely, you will use your tax expertise and supervisory experience to help teams meet performance expectations and deliver a positive customer experience. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, structured training, and ongoing support from a dedicated leadership team. It is ideal for an experienced tax professional seeking a work-from-home position for the upcoming tax season.
- Lead and motivate remote team members through video calls, phone, and chat to achieve program goals and performance expectations.
- Monitor the Tax Support Slack channel, providing accurate tax guidance, relevant resources, and timely responses to team questions.
- Address operational challenges, leadership channel inquiries, and customer escalations, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.
- Conduct call monitoring to assess customer interactions, identify improvement opportunities, and support employee coaching and development.
- Make customer callbacks as needed to resolve outstanding concerns and maintain a positive customer experience.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions to support coaching, quality assurance, escalation management, and operational reporting.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to team members to promote consistent service quality and effective tax preparation practices.
Requirements:
- Must be an actively credentialed, U.S.-based Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or practicing attorney.
- Must hold an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- At least 2 years of professional experience preparing and filing individual income tax returns (Form 1040) using professional tax preparation software in a professional or retail setting.
- At least 1 year of experience in a remote supervisory role, managing teams of five or more employees.
- Strong tax knowledge and the ability to provide reliable guidance while addressing customer concerns and complex operational issues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate remote teams and manage escalations effectively.
- Technical proficiency with professional tax preparation software, Microsoft 365 applications—including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel—and Slack.
- A dedicated home workspace, a personal computer for administrative tasks, and a reliable wired Ethernet connection. Wi-Fi and satellite internet connections are not permitted.
- Availability to work during the seasonal employment period, with scheduling options across morning, midday, and evening shifts.
Benefits:
- Hourly pay of $36 USD.
- Flexible scheduling with morning, midday, and evening shifts available seven days a week.
