Candidates should have two to five years of related experience in a credit union or similar financial environment, a fundamental understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The actual base pay offered will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill, relevant experience, and work location.

Requirements:

· Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate and resolve errors and post adjusting entries

· Assist and support the Accounts payable functions including preparing check requests, maintaining vendor files and processing invoices in on-line AP System.

· Perform monthly fixed asset additions and depreciation (includes prepaid expenses)

· Assist in month-end close process

· Assist in internal and external audits

· Perform year end reporting, including 1099s, withholding reporting, sales tax reporting, and other required filings

· Assist in call report preparation and/or review

· Consistently meet or exceed all service expectations.

· Possesses adequate product knowledge

· Represent the credit union in a courteous, professional and positive manner

· Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as credit union policies and procedures.

· Responsible for completion of all required compliance training, as well as completion of ongoing compliance training which may be assigned throughout the year.

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Associate degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred

Interpersonal Skills:

· A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.

· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Other Skills:

· Minimum 2 - 5 years of similar or related experience

· Ability to analyze financial data

· Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Knowledge of Oracle Accounting Platform preferred

· Superior organizational, problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Results oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

· Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
