This role is focused on enabling high-performing agile teams to deliver impactful software, data, and digital capabilities within a regulated and mission-driven environment. You will act as a key facilitator and coach, helping teams improve delivery flow, predictability, and alignment with business objectives and OKRs. Working closely with Product Owners and Engineering leaders, you will support sprint execution, remove delivery blockers, and strengthen agile maturity across the team. The position requires a strong balance of facilitation, analytical thinking, and communication to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. You will also help reinforce quality, compliance, and security practices in a healthcare-adjacent environment where patient outcomes are central. This is a hands-on Scrum Master role where your influence directly improves team performance and delivery consistency.
- Facilitate Scrum and Kanban ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team execution
- Coach Product Owners and engineering teams on agile principles, improving flow, collaboration, and delivery predictability
- Support sprint planning, capacity management, roadmap visibility, and release coordination across the team
- Identify and remove delivery blockers, escalating issues when needed to ensure continuous progress
- Maintain and monitor agile metrics such as cycle time, throughput, WIP, and defect trends to improve transparency and performance
- Promote lean and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD adoption, work slicing, and definition of done/ready standards
- Reinforce compliance and security practices, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and protection of sensitive data (PHI/PII)
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and implementation of actionable team enhancements
- Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders using data-driven insights
- 2–5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner in software or data delivery environments
- Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, or similar environments is highly preferred
- Scrum certifications such as PSM I/II, CSM, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban, with proven ability to improve team flow metrics
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for agile tracking and reporting
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, automated testing, and trunk-based development
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills within cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate delivery data into meaningful insights for stakeholders
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while escalating complex issues appropriately
- Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus up to 10% annual bonus
