Job Summary

The Director of Equity Operations is responsible for leading the operational infrastructure, processes, reporting cadence, and cross-functional coordination that support Roers Companies’ investor relations function across its real estate investment portfolio. This role serves as a strategic and operational bridge between Finance, Accounting, Asset Management, Development, Property Management, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure investors receive accurate, timely, and professional communication and reporting.

This position oversees the systems, workflows, reporting timelines, and execution processes that support investor communications, capital activity, investor onboarding, fund administration coordination, and ongoing relationship support. The Director plays a critical role in strengthening operational scalability as Roers Companies continues to expand its portfolio, investor base, and investment offerings.

The ideal candidate combines operational discipline, financial and real estate business acumen, strong communication capabilities, and a proactive ownership mindset to help create a best-in-class investor experience aligned with the Roers Companies Culture Blueprint.

Responsibilities

Investor Reporting & Communication Operations

· Lead the operational execution of recurring investor reporting cycles, including quarterly and annual reporting deliverables.

· Coordinate with Accounting, Asset Management, and Finance teams to gather, validate, and organize financial and operational data for investor communications.

· Ensure consistency, accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness across investor-facing materials.

· Support preparation and distribution of capital call notices, distribution notices, performance summaries, portfolio updates, and investor presentations.

· Oversee investor communication workflows and documentation standards to ensure consistency across investment entities and funds.

· Partner with leadership to support annual meetings, webinars, investor events, and strategic communication initiatives.

Investor Experience & Relationship Support

· Serve as a key operational contact for investor-related processes and escalations.

· Develop and improve systems that enhance the overall investor experience, responsiveness, and transparency.

· Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure investor inquiries are addressed efficiently and professionally.

· Support onboarding processes for new investors, including documentation coordination and workflow management.

· Help maintain a high-touch, relationship-focused approach while building scalable operational processes.

Operational Infrastructure & Process Improvement

· Design, document, and continuously improve investor relations operational processes and controls.

· Evaluate and optimize investor relations technologies, CRM platforms, reporting systems, and document management processes.

· Establish standardized procedures, templates, reporting timelines, and operational playbooks.

· Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to support organizational growth.

· Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure investor processes align with applicable regulations and internal governance expectations.

Cross-Functional Coordination

· Collaborate closely with Development, Construction, Property Management, Accounting, Treasury, Asset Management, and Executive Leadership teams.

· Coordinate internal timelines and deliverables necessary for investor reporting and communications.

· Support enterprise visibility into fundraising activity, investor commitments, distributions, and reporting schedules.

· Assist leadership with special projects related to capital raising, portfolio growth, and strategic initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

· Provide leadership and direction for investor relations operations team members or support staff, as applicable.

· Create accountability, operational clarity, and process discipline across the function.

· Develop training resources, SOPs, and onboarding materials related to investor operations processes.

· Promote collaboration and alignment with the Roers Companies Culture Blueprint values and behavioral expectations.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, Communications, or related field.

· 7+ years of experience in investor relations, real estate operations, finance operations, asset management support, fund administration, or related business operations.

· Experience supporting investment reporting, financial communication processes, or investor-facing operational functions.

· Strong organizational, project management, and operational process improvement skills.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

· Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience within commercial real estate, multifamily housing, private equity real estate, development, or investment management environments.

· Familiarity with real estate investment structures, capital raises, waterfalls, distributions, and investor reporting cycles.

· Experience implementing or managing investor relations software or CRM platforms.

· Experience building scalable operational infrastructure within a growing organization.

· Leadership or people management experience preferred.

· Knowledge of institutional or private investor communication best practices.

Compensation and Benefits for Director of Equity Operations:

Pay Range: $133,665 - $179,400

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
