Established in 1915, this full-service club is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Club services and amenities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, the Main Bar, Garden Room, Main Dining Room, indoor tennis court, the M Spa Salon, overnight guest rooms, cabanas, the Lampen Lounge, Library, a Business Center, and numerous private dining, meeting, and gaming rooms. The Club also has reciprocity with nearly 100 private and exclusive Clubs in the United States and around the world.
Position Overview:
The Metropolitan Club has an immediate opening for an experienced Massage Therapist. We are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated person to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Trigger Point Therapy, and Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Ability to cater to the members' needs, provide excellent listening and communication skills, work independently, and have a desire to develop rapport with the Club's members and staff. You will provide massage services in an inclusive environment that promotes physical and mental well-being. Focus on member satisfaction and retention is essential; experience with geriatric massage therapy is a plus.
Requirements: Requirements
- Perform massage services for various ages, ensuring proper techniques and safety protocols are followed.
- Foster a supportive spa experience with co-workers while maintaining the massage room supplies and cleanliness.
- Certification and license from a recognized institution required.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to massage practice is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and understand diverse groups of individuals.
- A commitment to personal growth in your massage practice and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to adapt based on clients' needs while ensuring a safe environment.
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and/ or Saturday weekday availability
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $21.00 per hour while not in session. 70% commission on spa services performed.
Work Location: In person.
