Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for directing and delegating responsibilities to Security Shift Supervisors, Senior Security Officers, and Security Officers.
  • Responsible for conducting interviews and evaluating security staff.
  • Responsible for overseeing staff development, motivation, and training.
  • Recommends documents and issues discipline.
  • Responsible for reviewing and submitting all shift paperwork.
  • Communicates all policy and procedure changes, special events, and other activities to security personnel.
  • Responsible for the efficient scheduling of security personnel as required.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and ensuring maintenance of a system that complies with Company and Departmental Procedures, Internal Controls, VLEU, and Delaware State Racing Commission Regulations.
  • Responsible for positive interactions with VLEU, Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Delaware State Racing Commission.
  • Promotes outstanding interdepartmental and customer relations.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Three (3) or more years of security supervisory experience (gaming industry preferred).
  • Must be able to complete and maintain the background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Lottery.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
