This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Debt Management Analyst Senior based in the United States.
As a Debt Management Analyst Senior, you’ll support complex financing activities and oversee the ongoing compliance and reporting of a significant debt portfolio. You’ll contribute to taxable and tax-exempt debt issuance, financing negotiations, and the preparation of materials for senior leadership. The role combines financial analysis, debt compliance, forecasting, reporting, and strategic evaluation of financing alternatives. You’ll work closely with Treasury stakeholders while interpreting financial and legal documentation and ensuring critical obligations are met. Your analysis will help guide decisions involving debt structures, leases, intercompany loans, and joint venture financing. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend or holiday work.
- Support financing activities and the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt debt, including requests for proposals, negotiations, marketing materials, and other transaction documentation.
- Monitor compliance across outstanding debt obligations, including costs of issuance, use of proceeds, private business use, IRS reporting requirements, bond records, debt covenants, and required stakeholder reporting.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual debt compliance packages and filings while maintaining accurate and complete supporting documentation.
- Review and approve invoices related to debt service payments and other financing and Treasury-related fees.
- Prepare monthly debt tracking reports covering interest rates, interest expense, financing costs, and budget variances.
- Develop forecasts and executive-level presentations summarizing debt performance, financing activity, and key trends for the Treasurer and Board.
- Conduct lease-versus-buy analyses for real property and equipment proposals and assess the financial implications of alternative financing strategies.
- Prepare term sheets and financial analyses related to intercompany loans and joint venture financing arrangements.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and operational controls covering debt, derivatives, leasing, and related compliance activities.
- Reconcile information across multiple data sources and ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and suitable for leadership review.
- Interpret, analyze, and edit legal and financial agreements, including financing agreements and swap documentation.
- Manage projects and processes effectively to meet critical financing, compliance, and reporting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of financial analyst experience, ideally involving debt programs within a not-for-profit healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of credit markets, taxable and tax-exempt debt structures, derivatives, and other key corporate financing concepts.
- Understanding of credit agreements, debt covenants, tax compliance monitoring, and related reporting requirements.
- Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and develop actionable conclusions.
- Advanced project management capabilities and the ability to independently drive processes against critical deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex financial information clearly for senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile information across multiple sources while producing reports that require minimal review.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and edit legal and financial agreements, including financing and swap documents.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate financing alternatives and understand their broader financial implications.
- Salary range of $41.10–$61.65 per hour.
- Fully remote, full-time opportunity.
- Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week.
- No weekend or holiday work.
