NIOA Munitions is seeking Production Workers to join our Benalla team, supporting the safe assembly and manufacture of munitions and EO products to strict quality, safety and operating standards.

About the role

As a Production Worker, you will assemble EO products and support the manufacture of materials in accordance with approved work instructions, procedures and operating manuals. You will work closely with production leaders and site teams to meet production standards and targets while maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised workplace.

What you’ll do

  • Assemble EO and related products in line with work instructions and procedures.
  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Follow health, safety, quality and environmental requirements at all times.
  • Complete production paperwork and workstation records accurately.
  • Identify and report equipment, product or quality issues to your team leader.
  • Support production targets and assist with alternative operational tasks during downtime or breakdowns.

About you

You will bring a strong safety mindset, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment. You will be comfortable performing repetitive tasks to a high standard and following procedures in a controlled, quality-focused workplace.

To be successful, you will have

  • High school education, relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • A clear understanding of workplace health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with basic computer capability.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and good time management.
  • The ability to stand for long periods and safely lift heavy objects when required.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when needed to support delivery schedules.

Highly regarded

  • Previous manufacturing, production or process work experience.
  • Experience or understanding of energetic materials.
  • Current driver licence.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Minimum Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
