Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week

From taking vital signs and preparing patients for their visit to offering reassurance during a stressful day, Medical Assistants play an important role in every patient experience.
Alluvion Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Medical team at our main clinic located at 601 1st Ave N in Great Falls, Montana.
This opportunity is open to both Certified Medical Assistants and experienced, non-certified Medical Assistants who meet our experience requirements. Certification is preferred, but we also recognize that valuable clinical skills can be built through hands-on healthcare experience.

What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant at Alluvion Health, you’ll help providers deliver safe, efficient, compassionate care while supporting patients throughout their clinic experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcome patients and help create a positive, respectful care experience.
- Obtain and document vital signs, health information, and other clinical data.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and other patient care needs.
- Document clinical information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education and reinforce preventive care recommendations.
- Respond to patient calls and messages appropriately and professionally.
- Assist with referrals, follow-up, and coordination of patient care.
- Clean, prepare, and maintain exam rooms.
- Monitor and stock clinical supplies and educational materials.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, Medical Assistants, and other members of the care team.
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Participate in meetings, training, outreach, and other team activities as needed.
- Follow Alluvion Health policies, procedures, and established clinical protocols.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Enjoy working directly with patients and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
- Can stay organized and focused in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, providers, and coworkers.
- Are dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute to the team.
- Pay attention to details and take pride in accurate documentation.
- Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Enjoy helping others and stepping in when your teammates need support.
- Treat every patient with dignity and respect.
- Are comfortable working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and life circumstances.
- Can work independently while also being an active member of a collaborative care team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following:
- Certified Medical Assistant credential; or
- At least two years of relevant clinical experience, such as Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain BLS within 45 days of hire.
- Current valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication, organization, customer service, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively with computers and electronic medical record systems.
- CMA (AAMA) certification; or
- CCMA certification through AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
- Previous experience working in a primary care or outpatient clinical setting.
- Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
