InterCare is searching for a Part-Time Medical Assistant - School Based Clinic to join our team! At InterCare, you’ll find a rewarding and challenging work environment and a competitive compensation with pay ranging $19.00 - 24.62/hr with certification or registered and benefits package which includes: vacation/personal paid time off, sick time, 10 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement program, 401K plan, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program).

Work Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with travel, evening and weekend hours as necessary.
Job Purpose:
- The Medical Assistant at INTERCARE COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK's School Based Clinic will provide essential healthcare support to ensure the well-being of students. This role involves assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care, promoting health education, and supporting the smooth operation of the clinic within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for students.
- Record patient information accurately, including medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and organized.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Provide basic health education and counseling to students, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.
- Coordinate with school staff and parents to facilitate communication and ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and other administrative tasks to support clinic operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
- Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities organized by the clinic.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities and training sessions.
