Senior Analyst, Trading

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analyst, Trading based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to join a growing trading and operations function in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You will manage daily trade activity across multiple brokers, custodians, and product lines while adapting execution strategies to changing market conditions.
The position combines hands-on trading with operational oversight, technology support, and continuous process improvement.
You will execute complex orders, investigate exceptions, and help ensure accurate and efficient trade processing.
You will also contribute to the implementation and optimization of trading and rebalancing technologies.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, technical adaptability, and a commitment to responsive internal client service.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage daily trade flow across multiple brokers and custodians, monitoring orders and adapting execution strategies based on market conditions, order size, and product characteristics.
  • Execute large and complex orders across multiple product lines using algorithmic trading tools and established execution strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, brokers, and custodians to facilitate significant orders, resolve execution issues, and maintain smooth trade operations.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve trade errors and exceptions, tracking recurring issues and recommending system or process improvements to reduce future errors.
  • Provide high-quality internal client service by responding promptly to inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and managing urgent, time-sensitive requests.
  • Develop expertise across multiple trading software platforms and provide user support for system-related troubleshooting.
  • Support the implementation of a new rebalancing system, including parallel portfolio rebalances, variance analysis, issue investigation, and communication with software vendors.
  • Review and update trading system configurations to improve execution efficiency, accuracy, and operational precision.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance trading processes and systems, contributing to initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
  • Participate in technology-focused projects, including software evaluations, onboarding new firms to existing systems, and implementing process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure trading operations remain accurate, responsive, and aligned with business and client needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related business discipline.
  • 3+ years of trading or financial operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with trading, rebalancing, or order management systems such as Charles River, Orion Advisor Services, Envestnet Tamarac, RedBlack, or comparable platforms; Charles River experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of trade execution and operational workflows, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with the judgment to identify and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and internal client service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with brokers, custodians, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong technology aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and adapt quickly to changing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working in a high-growth environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
