Job Description: Occupational Therapist
Reports to: Occupational Therapist Lead and Chief Clinic Administrator
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: San Antonio, TX

TEAMability is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with physical, neurological, and developmental challenges. The therapist will work collaboratively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help each child reach their highest level of independence and function.
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluation and Treatment
- Perform comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools and accepted assessment methods.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with physician approval.
- Provide occupational therapy for pediatric patients with various physical dysfunctions.
- Monitor patient safety and equipment during therapy sessions.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, summaries, and re-evaluations accurately and timely.
Collaboration & Supervision
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families regarding progress and needs.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring compliance with documentation and treatment standards.
- Participate in team conferences, staff meetings, and contribute to program development.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Educate families, staff, and the public about occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Eligible for or licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
- Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range ($79,000 - $84,000) commensurate with experience.
