About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Care Tech not certified. plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity while supporting the nursing staff. The CNA is responsible for monitoring patients' health status, reporting changes to the nursing team, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. By performing essential clinical and non-clinical tasks, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall patient care experience and the smooth operation of healthcare facilities. This role requires a commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized in the United States.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• if certification not available, will train on the job as care tech.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.
• BLS certified, can obtain after employment starts.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately.
• Help patients move safely, including transferring them between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
• Observe and report any changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and facility policies.
• Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and documentation as directed.
• Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and ensure patients’ nutritional needs are met.

Skills:

The required skills enable the CNA to provide direct patient care efficiently and safely, ensuring that all daily living activities are performed with attention to patient comfort and dignity. Strong communication skills are essential for accurately reporting patient conditions and collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
