STUDENT FELLOW FOR SPEECH THERAPY

JOB SUMMARY:

The Fellow (Level I) in speech therapy participates in both the preparatory aspects of care including transfers, transporting, equipment set up and assistive aspects of care which assists the speech therapist to deliver quality speech therapy care. Equipment and departmental maintenance is done as assigned. A learning emphasis is placed on this positions that prepares the Fellow not only for the current position but also for a future career as a Speech Therapist. This position reports to the Supervisor of ST and ultimately to the Director of Therapy Services as well as the Supervisor of the Fellow Program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Student actively enrolled in an accredited Speech Therapy educational program within 3 years of completion or pursuing graduate studies in an accredited Speech Therapy program within 3 years of completion.
• Trained on the job per skills list/competencies and orientation to hospital and department
