Job Description

Director of Finance, Commercial & Go-To-Market (GTM)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Finance (GTM / Commercial Finance) based in the United States.

This is a highly strategic finance leadership role focused on driving growth performance across a fast-scaling commercial organization. The position partners directly with senior GTM leaders to shape decisions around revenue, investment, and efficiency. It blends financial planning, commercial strategy, and operational execution to optimize growth outcomes across acquisition, retention, and expansion. The role is deeply embedded in business decision-making rather than traditional reporting cycles. It requires someone who can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executives. The environment is fast-paced, data-driven, and supported by a strong emphasis on innovation and AI-enabled finance transformation. You will also play a key role in building scalable processes that support long-term business expansion.

Accountabilities

This role owns the financial strategy and performance management of the go-to-market organization, ensuring disciplined yet ambitious revenue growth. You will act as a key partner to senior leadership while building scalable financial frameworks that guide business decisions.

  • Act as a strategic partner to GTM leadership (Sales, Marketing, and Client Success), influencing investment decisions, pricing, segmentation, and growth strategy
  • Own end-to-end revenue forecasting, including pipeline modeling, conversion assumptions, retention, and expansion dynamics
  • Lead performance management processes, including business reviews, KPI development, and executive reporting
  • Build and refine financial models that support both short-term execution and long-term planning
  • Drive data-driven insights to optimize CAC, LTV, unit economics, and overall growth efficiency
  • Develop scalable financial processes, reporting frameworks, and operating rhythms for GTM performance
  • Champion automation and AI-driven tools to improve forecasting accuracy and reduce manual effort
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team aligned with commercial priorities
Requirements

This role requires a seasoned finance leader with deep commercial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and proven experience partnering with revenue-generating teams in high-growth environments.

  • 10–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and commercial finance exposure
  • Strong background partnering with Sales, Marketing, and/or Customer Success organizations
  • Expertise in revenue modeling, forecasting, and SaaS or recurring revenue business dynamics (preferred)
  • Experience in fast-paced, performance-driven or private equity-backed environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable financial processes and drive operational excellence
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, financial systems, and business intelligence tools
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance financial planning and insights
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based compensation opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible paid time off and company holidays
  • Retirement savings plans (401k or equivalent)
  • Parental leave and family support programs
  • Wellness and fitness-related reimbursements or perks
  • Employee assistance and mental health support programs
  • Flexible, modern work environment with strong emphasis on work-life balance
