Regional Director, Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Director, Sales based in the United States.

This senior commercial leadership role is responsible for driving growth across a defined U.S. territory by leading a high-performing sales team focused on technical products and solutions in the life sciences and industrial markets. The role combines strategic account development, team leadership, and hands-on execution to expand market share and strengthen long-term customer partnerships. You will oversee complex sales cycles, executive-level engagements, and high-value negotiations while ensuring disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy. Working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and partner sales teams, you will shape and execute go-to-market strategies that accelerate revenue growth. The environment is fast-paced, data-driven, and highly collaborative, requiring both strategic thinking and operational rigor. This is a high-impact leadership position where your decisions directly influence commercial performance and customer success across critical industries.

Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading regional sales performance, developing talent, and executing commercial strategies that deliver sustained revenue growth and market expansion across a defined territory.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team focused on technical solutions, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Define and execute sales strategies, including pipeline development, forecasting, account expansion, and new business acquisition across targeted markets.
  • Manage complex customer relationships, including executive-level engagements, negotiations, and long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Oversee disciplined CRM usage to ensure accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and opportunity management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, key accounts, and internal stakeholders to align commercial execution and maximize growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategy and identify new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial processes, pricing strategies, and organizational standards while driving continuous performance improvement.
Requirements

This role requires a strong combination of sales leadership experience, technical understanding, and strategic business acumen, with the ability to operate in complex, consultative selling environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a scientific, technical, or business-related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical sales, with proven leadership responsibility in driving team performance and revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of industrial, laboratory, or life sciences markets, including technical products and solution-based selling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and engage confidently with senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, forecasting, and data-driven sales decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills in fast-changing markets.
