1st Shift Forklift Driver (Manufacturing Warehouse) in Streamwood, Illinois at Pelton Shepherd Industries

The forklift driver:
- Identifies and transports required materials to and from various locations inside the facility
- Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials and equipment accordingly
- Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items
- Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads
- Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor
- Reports mechanical or electrical difficulties
Performs other related duties as requested

Requirements:
- Basic math, language, and reading skills
- Ability to handle equipment safely and sensibly
- Ability to interact with computer-based Warehouse Management System for inventory control, shipping, and receiving inclusive of using handheld scanning devices

Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing/balancing, reaching, kneeling/crawling, talking, hearing, touching, using vision: peripheral depth, focus adjustment, lifting up to 50 lbs., and pushing or pulling between 75 to 100 lbs. (equipment assisted)
