This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Staff Engineer, ERP Workday (Technical Consultant) based in India.
In this role, you will act as a key technical expert supporting the design, integration, and optimization of Workday HCM solutions within a global enterprise environment. You will work across multiple HR and business domains, ensuring seamless connectivity between Workday and surrounding systems through robust integrations and scalable architecture. The position involves both hands-on development and functional collaboration, covering areas such as HCM, payroll, compensation, recruiting, and talent management. You will play a critical role in delivering end-to-end Workday solutions, from configuration and integration development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The role requires strong exposure to enterprise integration tools, reporting frameworks, and security administration within Workday. You will collaborate with global stakeholders across time zones, contributing to a fast-paced, product engineering-driven organization. This is a high-impact role focused on system reliability, data accuracy, and continuous improvement of HR technology ecosystems.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation
- Configure, maintain, and support Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Talent & Performance, Compensation, Payroll, Time & Absence, and Staffing
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
- Develop and maintain Workday reports and BIRT reports to support business and operational needs
- Configure and support Workday business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and best practices
- Manage Workday security roles, domains, and access configurations to ensure compliance and system integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and integration issues, ensuring system stability and data accuracy
- Support release management, system testing, production support, and ITSM processes including incident and change management
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement of Workday solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4 plus years of experience working with Workday HCM in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday integrations including EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, Workday Studio, and Document Transformation
- Solid functional knowledge of Workday modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, ATS, LMS, and Talent Management
- Experience in Workday Business Process configuration and support
- Strong expertise in Workday Reporting and BIRT report development
- Experience with Workday Security configuration and administration
- Good understanding of ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a global environment with overlap across US/UK time zones (preferred schedule 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST)
- Workday certification is preferred but not mandatory
