This role oversees the daily operations of a credentialing team responsible for ensuring provider onboarding and compliance across ambulatory surgery center environments. You will play a key part in maintaining regulatory, accreditation, and internal standards by guiding credentialing workflows and supporting timely, accurate provider approvals. Acting as both a team leader and subject matter expert, you will help optimize processes, reduce errors, and strengthen operational consistency. The position requires close collaboration with internal departments, providers, and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. You will also contribute to reporting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives within the credentialing function. This is a remote leadership role suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in structured, compliance-driven healthcare operations.

Accountabilities:
  • Supervise and support the credentialing team in executing end-to-end provider onboarding and credentialing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements related to provider eligibility and privileges.
  • Conduct audits, identify process gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support onboarding activities including licenses, DEA, CDS, and hospital privilege coordination.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute operational reports to monitor performance, trends, and team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and providers to ensure timely and accurate credentialing outcomes.
  • Assist in training, onboarding, and mentoring new team members while supporting ongoing staff development.
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; additional healthcare or credentialing education preferred.
  • 4+ years of credentialing or healthcare administrative experience required.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of credentialing standards, healthcare regulations, and accreditation requirements (e.g., state, federal, CMS, AAAHC).
  • Familiarity with credentialing systems (such as CredentialStream) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and paid family leave.
  • Flexible spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care, transportation, and parking).
  • Health savings account (HSA) options.
  • Remote work flexibility within a structured healthcare operations environment.
  • Professional development and training opportunities in credentialing and healthcare compliance.
  • Inclusive workplace culture focused on integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
