Title: Drink Innovation Specialist
Department: Marketing

Reports to: Senior Manager of Retail Marketing

Schedule: Full-Time

Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Beverage Innovation Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of cafe beverages that are innovative in flavor and texture. They will coordinate and communicate across departments to create and communicate beverage related information, and support the creation of hands-on and written training materials. This role will ensure an exceptional customer experience supported by product quality and presentation. This position will be based at Colectivo headquarters in Milwaukee.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research on market trends for continuous innovation and development of drinks
  • Design and develop featured drinks and seasonal beverage for each of the six promotional periods per year
  • Assist in writing SOPs for all featured drinks and seasonal beverages
  • Assist in organizing and clearly communicating rollout materials for all beverage related products to all involved departments
  • Ensure all Colectivo locations receive basic beverage training materials and barista-specialized tools
  • Support the rollout of policies, products, and procedures through the development of instructional materials in a timely manner in coordination with the training department
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in R&D, mixology, and/or barista roles
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to drive product development from concept to commercialization
  • Degree in food science, culinary arts, or commensurate experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ingredient functionality, flavor pairing, and trend analysis
  • Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in English
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations across markets
