As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our practice, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient. You’ll often be the first clinical touchpoint for families, triaging concerns, coordinating care, and ensuring each visit feels seamless.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
- Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses need for patient appointments and assists with triage.
- Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders.
- Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.
- Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists, per provider orders.
- Monitors completion of ordered diagnostic tests and routes results accordingly.
- Assists in communicating results to patient/parent and coordinates any necessary follow up.
- Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to appropriate provider for their review. Assists in any follow up as indicated by the provider.
- Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
- Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in completion of tests.
- Performs and supports PediaTrust Core Values and digital health workflows and initiatives.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Epic or other EMR systems preferred
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and plan daily responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
Required Length & Type of Experience:
- One year of nursing experience preferred
Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:
- Current Illinois Licensure as an RN/LPN
- CPR certified
