About the role
- Coastal Kids Home Care is seeking a Massage Therapist to be part of our Expressive Team that serves our Pediatric Palliative Program. CKHC Pediatric Palliative program has offers expressive therapies to children living with life limiting conditions in the comfort of their home. Our massage therapists play an important role in our patient’s quality of life, by easing stiffness and pain and increasing circulation and ROM. To offer the best patient-centered care our massage therapists work on our palliative care team of social workers, other expressive therapists, and nurses. As a massage therapist with CKHC you would provide services to children aged 0-21 in Monterey. Our contracted massage therapists have complete autonomy regarding their schedule, as they drive to and from patients’ homes. This massage therapist will also have a unique opportunity to work with children and families during the end-of-life. This is an independent contractor position at Coastal Kids Home Care.
What you'll do
1. Works as a member of the palliative care team for each patient.
2. See patients as scheduled and maintain good communication around your caseload.
3. Conduct yourself professionally as a representative of Coastal Kids Home Care in the homes.
4. Chart on Careficient all visit notes in a timely manner (24-36 hours after seeing patient).
5. Report any significant changes in condition to Nurse/MSW for the patient.
6. Participate in IDT meetings monthly either in person or via zoom.
7. Participate in Expressive Therapy quarterly meeting.
8. Complete invoices for payment twice monthly (shortly after the 15th and 30th of each month)
Qualifications
- 1. Be a certified massage therapist with the CAMTC or Licensed Massage Therapist.
- 2. Carry your own liability insurance.
- 3. Possess a California State Driver’s License.
- 4. Minimum 1 year of experience with massage therapy on children.
- 5. Hold current auto insurance for the duration of your employment.
- 6. Ability to travel to patient’s homes; include ability to drive, negotiate stairs and walkways including uneven surfaces at private homes or facilities.
The pay range for this role is:
80 - 80 USD per hour(Monterey )
