About The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer in our Engineering department, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our facilities, equipment, and systems. This hourly, full-time position focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, and driving continuous improvement in equipment performance and uptime. You will collaborate closely with operations, safety, and engineering teams to minimize downtime, support production targets, and maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to restore operations safely and quickly
- Inspect, test, and calibrate equipment and systems to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards
- Document all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, using the company’s maintenance management system (CMMS or equivalent)
- Collaborate with operations, production, and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance work, coordinate downtime, and support production goals
- Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment reliability, and spare parts management
- Assist in installing, commissioning, and starting up new equipment, including reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Follow and enforce all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance activities
- Monitor equipment condition and performance to identify early signs of wear or failure and proactively address potential issues
- Support emergency maintenance and on-call coverage as needed to minimize unplanned downtime
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in maintenance areas and on the production floor
- Participate in training programs, toolbox talks, and continuous learning to stay current with maintenance best practices and technologies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering, maintenance technician, or similar role in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities, or related environment
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments used in maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) or digital work order platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including knowledge of lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and safe work practices
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, supervisors, and external vendors
- Physical ability to perform maintenance work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions
- Willingness to work an hourly, full-time schedule, which may include shifts, weekends, or overtime based on operational needs
The pay range for this role is:
22 - 25 USD per hour(Hilton Garden Inn Bozeman)
