We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. In this role, you will manage month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and mentor junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, sound judgment, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support broader financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Planning
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports to provide insightful analysis of the company’s financial performanceLead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsPlay a lead role in the annual budgeting process and provide continuous forecasting to support financial planningWork closely with key stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive profitabilityCompliance, Tax, and Audit
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, GAAP, and tax lawsCoordinate with external auditors during audits, and lead the preparation of necessary documentation and schedulesCollaborate with tax specialists to develop effective tax planning strategies, ensuring the company’s tax compliance and optimizing tax positionsIdentify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processesCash, Payments, and Transactional Accounting
Monitor cash flow, manage cash reserves, and optimize working capital to support business operations effectivelyRecommend appropriate actions to address cash fluctuations and liquidity challengesManage the monthly revenue accounting process in accordance with ASC 606Assist with the accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for the companyProcess Improvement
Continuously access and improve financial processes, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparencyImplement best practices to streamline workflows and drive operational excellenceAssist with special projects, such as system implementations or process improvementsWhat We’re Looking For
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the utilities or payments industriesThorough knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principlesProven experience with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and revenue transactional accountingStrong understanding of regulatory compliance and experience with external auditsProficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, Quickbooks, etc.) Experience with Rippling billing is a plusExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectivelyAbility to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environmentWhat we Offer

Actual offers will be based on the applicant’s skills, experience, and education.
