Sr. Manager - GPSC Accounting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Manager – GPSC Accounting based in United States.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to oversee financial reporting, technical accounting, and controllership activities supporting complex global supply chain operations. The role combines strategic financial oversight with cross-functional collaboration, ensuring accurate reporting while supporting key business initiatives and commercial arrangements. You will partner with finance, operations, treasury, and technical accounting teams to deliver clear financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements. Leading a team of experienced accounting professionals, you will play a critical role in advancing operational excellence, compliance, and modernization in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for assigned accounting areas, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.
  • Evaluate and document accounting treatments for complex commercial arrangements, supplier agreements, restructuring initiatives, resiliency programs, and other strategic projects.
  • Partner closely with finance, operations, treasury, and technical accounting teams to provide financial guidance, support forecasting, and deliver meaningful insights for business decisions.
  • Maintain a strong controllership environment by ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, governance requirements, and key financial controls.
  • Oversee audit activities, address control gaps, and implement corrective actions to strengthen financial governance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior accounting professionals through coaching, performance management, and career development initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing accounting processes, enhancing automation, improving reporting quality, and leveraging financial systems and digital tools.
  • Support broader finance and controllership initiatives through special projects, leadership presentations, and ad hoc financial analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification, or comparable technical accounting expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and extensive experience with technical accounting topics, including complex commercial agreements, supplier arrangements, restructuring, contingencies, or similar areas.
  • Experience in corporate controllership, technical accounting, or audit environments; manufacturing or supply chain experience is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing senior accounting professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to continuous improvement and financial excellence.
  • Ability to work remotely, with hybrid attendance required for candidates located within commuting distance of designated office locations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored immigration support.
