This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of a next-generation energy project by supporting complex electrical engineering integration activities.
As a Plant Integration Engineer (Electrical), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful design, coordination, and delivery of critical plant systems.

The Plant Integration Engineer (Electrical) will support engineering integration, design coordination, and technical oversight activities across a complex industrial project. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and subject matter experts to ensure successful project execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Support engineering and design collaboration between multidisciplinary teams involved in plant systems development and construction activities.
- Provide technical oversight of electrical system designs developed by engineering partners and subcontractors, from functional requirements through final design.
- Coordinate design handoffs and ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain electrical engineering deliverables, including procurement specifications, requirements documents, system descriptions, calculations, diagrams, and engineering change packages.
- Evaluate electrical systems against applicable classification requirements, industry standards, codes, licensing requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Integrate electrical scope and requirements with mechanical, nuclear, instrumentation, controls, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review technical documentation and support responses related to regulatory communications and licensing activities.
- Assist with the preparation and revision of safety analysis documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying engineering best practices and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Coordinate technical problem-solving efforts to maintain project schedules and achieve engineering objectives.
- Lead collaboration efforts across geographically distributed teams, contractors, and technical partners.
The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical engineer with strong expertise in system integration, technical coordination, and complex engineering projects. Required qualifications and skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education; advanced degrees are considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct experience with demonstrated electrical systems expertise.
- Proven experience coordinating and integrating multiple organizations involved in engineering design and project delivery.
- Previous experience with nuclear electrical systems design is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Class 1E standards, including IEEE 308, IEEE 323, IEEE 344, IEEE 379, IEEE 383, IEEE 384, and IEEE 741, is preferred.
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant quality assurance requirements, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1, is highly desirable.
- Experience with transmission system design, protection, control, and planning is an advantage.
- Familiarity with engineering design software tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Standard, AutoCAD Electrical, or SolidWorks is preferred.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to technical excellence and quality.
- Ability to independently coordinate engineering activities and lead teams with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and complex design constraints.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and simultaneous projects.
- Experience supporting new-build projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional.
- High level of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and professional communication skills.
