Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for a PHOTOGRAPHER to join our TORONTO team. This is a part-time, contract opportunity that will be responsible for accurately photographing, managing and cataloguing vinyl effect samples as well as product photography. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment!
This position will be expected to work 2 days per week (8 hour shifts).
Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Stage and prepare samples for photography, ensuring results meet a realistic and high-quality standard
- Capture clear, high-quality images of vinyl records, including full product photography of complete packages
- Edit photos for accuracy, consistency, and clean presentation
- Upload and organize images within the CMS of our Vinyl Visualizer online photo library
- Maintain and update the image library with new products and variations
- Adhering to workflow and best practice set out by the Photography Lead and Marketing Manager
- Embarking on projects to develop and innovate both Photography / Marketing Departments
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or designate
Physical Demands
- Sedentary, office-based role that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Position requires sitting at desk 1/2 or more of day, walking short distances for less than 1/2 of day. Long periods of standing required while taking photographs
- Substantially repetitive movements of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Required to have visual acuity and concentration for prolonged periods to perform activities including but not limited to analyzing data and figures, taking photographs, assess and prepare layouts, determine best lighting arrangements, viewing high volume of photographs and selecting for optimum quality, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a photographer in the photography industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of photographic techniques, lighting, image capture and software image processing
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One
- Proficiency in Mac OS operating systems
- Strong self-initiative and work ethic with a drive to achieve sustainable results
- Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly analytical thinker with very strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, efficiency, organization, and managing multiple projects while meeting departmental goals and deadlines
