As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a key role in setting the tone for the dining experience. Lo-Los Chicken & Waffles:
Lo-Los Chicken & Waffles is a high-energy, down home southern style full serve restaurant that provides guests with hot, fresh, made to order southern comfort foods in a hometown environment full of flavors and soul satisfaction.

Location: In person required: Palms Place 4321 W Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89103
Shift: Open, Swing, Closing, Weekends, Holidays
Starting Base Salary: $12.00 per hour plus tips
Expected Hours: 10 - 30 hours per week (based upon business needs)
Supervisory: Reports to Shift Supervisor, Assist GM, and General Manager

Position Summary:
The Host is responsible for greeting guests with genuine hospitality, managing the waitlist, coordinating seating, and supporting smooth frontofhouse operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and organized in a fastpaced environment. The ideal candidate is upbeat, professional, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression
- Manage waitlists and seating assignments efficiently
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus or relevant information
- Communicate wait times clearly and accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and lobby area
- Assist with answering phones, taking togo orders, and providing general guest support
Refill water glasses and prebus tables to support smooth and efficient service
Oversee togo orders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper packaging
Process togo payments promptly and correctly
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor dining room capacity and pacing to support efficient operations
- Handle guest concerns or requests with professionalism and care
- Support opening, running, and closing duties as assigned
What Were Looking For:
- Previous host or customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Experience with POS systems and seating preferred not required
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during busy shifts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, team-oriented, and eager to serve
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding of health regulations and ability to enforce cleanliness standards.
- Required certifications Food Handlers Certification
