Job Description
Job Summary:
The Financial Controller Undertakes all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, and budget/forecast preparation. Responsible for developing internal control policies, managing financial risk, and ensuring the long-term financial stability of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Provide comprehensive financial analysis and updates to executive management regarding annual budgets and operating results.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.
Calculate and issue key financial and operational metrics to drive business decisions
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
Research technical accounting issues and coordinate with executive leadership on financial aspects of M&A considerations.
Oversee and execute final month-end and year-end close process.
Provide financial analysis, as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract terms.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Manage and maintain accounting records in accordance with document retention policies.
Additional duties as necessary.
Requirements:Position Requirements:
Proven working experience as a Financial controller
10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
5+ years’ experience in a supervisory/management role
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Masters preferred
CPA or CMA a plus
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred

This is a full-time office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
