West Coast Self-Storage is seeking a motivated and organized full-time Storage Defender Success Specialist to join our team. This position may be based out of either our Beaverton, OR or Everett, WA office.
As the primary liaison between West Coast Self-Storage and Storage Defender, you'll lead Smart Unit deployment, adoption, training, and performance initiatives across our portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with Operations, Training, Call Center, and field leadership teams while driving product engagement, operational consistency, and revenue growth.

Position Summary
The Storage Defender Success Specialist is responsible for leading the deployment, adoption, training, and ongoing performance of Storage Defender Smart Units across the West Coast Self-Storage portfolio. This role serves as the primary liaison between West Coast Self-Storage and Storage Defender, ensuring successful implementation, operational consistency, team engagement, and long-term adoption growth.
The Storage Defender Success Specialist partners closely with District Managers, facility teams, call center leadership, internal departments, and vendor representatives to support Smart Unit performance, customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue goals.
Deployment & Program Management
- Coordinate facility onboarding and deployment activities to support successful Smart Unit launches.
- Maintain deployment schedules, readiness checklists, and implementation standards.
- Support operational consistency across participating facilities.
- Monitor device inventory levels and coordinate replenishment needs.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure products are configured and available for sale.
- Develop and maintain scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices to support ongoing program growth.
Training & Team Development
- Develop and deliver training programs for facility managers, District Managers, and call center personnel.
- Create training resources including guides, videos, scripts, job aids, and supporting materials.
- Establish coaching and certification processes that support long-term success and product adoption.
- Partner with company trainers and leaders to integrate Storage Defender content into existing development programs.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to teams regarding Smart Unit products, programs, and sales processes.
Adoption, Sales & Performance
- Support Smart Unit penetration and adoption goals across participating facilities.
- Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities to improve adoption, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Partner with field leadership to develop action plans for underperforming locations.
- Monitor program performance and recommend improvements to increase engagement and operational effectiveness.
Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as the primary point of contact between West Coast Self-Storage and Storage Defender.
- Maintain productive relationships with Storage Defender Client Success and Operations teams.
- Coordinate issue resolution, product updates, system enhancements, and operational improvements.
- Communicate field feedback, business needs, and operational challenges to support continuous product improvement.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Storage Defender products and programs.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and maintain reports related to deployment progress, adoption rates, training completion, device utilization, and program performance.
- Analyze trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership teams.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of metrics, reporting, and performance measurements.
- Utilize company technology and reporting systems to support decision-making and business objectives.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Build strong working relationships with field teams, District Managers, call center personnel, leadership, and vendor partners.
- Foster open communication across departments and stakeholders.
- Present information effectively through meetings, training sessions, reports, and executive summaries.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in training, operations, sales enablement, customer success, account management, or project coordination.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations.
- Experience creating training materials and facilitating instructor-led training.
- Experience working with technology products, operational deployments, or implementation projects.
- Self-storage industry experience preferred.
- Experience analyzing performance metrics and developing actionable recommendations.
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Training & Development, Operations, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements
