Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The successful candidate will interpretate neuroradiology studies, perform minor procedures, teach residents, and participate in shared on call responsibilities at the Galveston, Clear Lake, League City and Angleton Danbury campuses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for providing direct patient care, performing interventional radiology procedures. Will participate in all teaching activities, supervision and instruction of fellows, residents and medical students. Also responsible for advancing clinical knowledge through his/her scholarly and research efforts and will participate in either basic research (laboratory) or clinical research and publication of scientific articles. Provide leadership in planning, demonstrate competence in the scholarship of discovery and integration by developing a program of research; demonstrate competency in the scholarship of application by participating in departmental, school, university and professional or community organizations and maintain current professional credentials as appropriate. Candidates should hold a MD, DO or foreign equivalent, have completed an ACGME approved residency training program or international equivalent in diagnostic radiology, and a vascular and interventional radiology residency. Be ABR Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology and have a Texas Medical License without restrictions or eligible to obtain
TRAINING REQUIRED:
12 month internship, 48 months integrated diagnostic & Interventional Radiology residency. Employer will accept ABR alternate pathway with 84 months of training for international medical graduates (12 month internship, 48 months integrated diagnostic & Interventional Radiology residency, and 24 months of vascular and interventional residency training).
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
