About the Role
The Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and comply with product specifications. This position involves conducting detailed materials testing and visual inspections to identify any defects or deviations from quality benchmarks. The technician will be responsible for calibrating laboratory and testing equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability in all quality assessments. By analyzing chemical tests and other data, the technician helps to implement corrective actions that improve product quality and manufacturing processes. Ultimately, this role supports the production team by maintaining high-quality outputs that satisfy customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in quality control, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in materials testing, visual inspection, and quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and calibration procedures.
- Basic understanding of chemical testing methods and product specification standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician).
- Experience with corrective action processes and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry-specific quality standards.
- Proficiency with quality management software and data reporting tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, to support production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine materials testing and chemical analysis to verify product quality.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of products and components to detect defects or inconsistencies.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory and testing equipment to ensure precise and accurate measurements.
- Document inspection results and test data accurately, preparing reports for quality assurance and production teams.
- Identify quality issues and collaborate with production staff to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with product specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines and quality control schedules.

- Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
