Activities Assistant (Full-Time)

Starting at $20.00/hour + Credit Given for Experience

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with every 3rd Saturday from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist the Director of Activities in planning and leading engaging recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents.
  • Encourage resident participation by providing activities that meet a variety of cognitive, physical, and emotional needs.
  • Maintain activity calendars, bulletin boards, displays, and activity supplies.
  • Escort residents to appointments, outings, church services, and special events.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while incorporating resident interests into activity planning.
  • Observe and report resident participation, progress, and concerns to the Director of Activities or nursing staff.
  • Assist with community events, holiday celebrations, and departmental activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide engaging, person-centered experiences.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, HIPAA, and quality assurance standards.
What You'll Need:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience working with older adults is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • A positive, compassionate attitude and a passion for enriching the lives of older adults.
